Disclaimer: Sadly, even though Disney World is re-opening in June 2020, character meet and greets will not be as they once were for some time. Most likely, the Princess Fairytale Hall will be closed through the end of 2020. Please enjoy this article and may it help you plan for a trip in 2021 and onward.

I love Disney and especially love all Disney princesses. It’s been my dream for ages to meet my favorite Disney princess, Sleeping Beauty. I never was able to meet her when I visited as a young child and teenager. As an adult I’ve had the chance twice now, once in France at the Epcot World Showcase and once in Magic Kingdom at the Princess Fairytale Hall!

There are several reasons I love the Fairytale Hall!

#1 You are able to meet two princesses at a time

They rotate every so often. When I was there, you met Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty together and Rapunzel and Tiana together.

Right now, they have Elena with Cinderella. But, they will probably rotate Sleeping Beauty back into the schedule at some point.

#2 The experience is authentic

The actresses are so good at their job, to point that you forget they are acting. You really believe they are a Disney princess and they make you feel so special and comfortable. If you are shy or don’t know what to say, they will easily converse with you and get you to talk along with them. They are especially good with the shy little girls who are nervous when they first approach them.

I know I was star struck when meeting Sleeping Beauty, who is my favorite of the classic princesses!

#3 They give you all the time you need!

You’d think they would rush you through, but they don’t! They really give you as much time as you need and you get to have a full conversation with each princess. They make you feel as if you are the most important person in the world at that moment.

I was able to have a conversation with Tiana about my husband and I’s recent visit to New Orleans and I told her that my husband tried Alligator! She said she’d make me gumbo if I stopped in her restaurant next time I was there.

#4 The Photographers

Firstly, you get so many shots with the photo pass photographers! They take pictures of every little bit of your interaction with the princesses and get all of you reactions!

Secondly, this is one of the best things about Disney, they allow you to take your own pictures. My sister pointed out, that any where else, they’d make you purchase a photo package, but not at Disney.

#5 Magic Shots

In addition to the many photo pass shots that you get, they also included a magic shot with the Cinderella characters!

#6 The Setting

It is nice, especially on a hot day, that the entire meet and greet is indoors and air conditioned. I really didn’t want to be hot and sweaty when meeting the princesses!

Also, the area feels like a grand room in a castle!

#7 FastPasses

You can use a FastPass for character meet and greets! If you decide to not use a fastpass, I recommend going either first thing in the morning or last thing at evening. You could perhaps get an early morning reservation and head to Fairytale Hall at 9:00 am sharp!

Whether you are 6, 36 or 76, embrace your inner Disney princess and enjoy every moment!

Princess Fairytale Hall is located at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. It can be found on the right hand side after exiting the back side of Cinderella’s Castle.
