Epcot’s World Showcase is one of my absolute favorite parts of Disney World. I love strolling through the countries and enjoying the culture, architecture and of course food!
Morocco is one of the best countries to photograph and also to explore in more detail. So many people may easily walk right past this country without enjoying it.
You’ll find Morocco between France and Japan. When entering the World Showcase from Future World, you’ll arrive fastest by walking counter clockwise around the lagoon.
Here are 5 things you may not have known about Morocco in Epcot’s World Showcase.
#1 There are three restaurants.
Within the Morocco pavilion you’ll find Tangierine Cafe which is counter service serving Mediterranean food, Spice Road Table which features small plate options and is found on the water’s edge of the pavillion and last, but not least the Restaurant Marrakesh which is found in back of the pavilion and is a table service restaurant where you can enjoy Moroccan cuisine and entertainment.
Enjoy some delicious Chicken Schwarma at the Tangierine Cafe, it is kid approved!
Special thanks for the photo to Amanda Becket from The Becket List Blog!
#2 There is a replica of a Moroccan home.
Called the Fez House, this home displays a beautiful and peaceful courtyard and fountain.
#3 All of the many details.
Morocco was only one of two countries, the other was Norway, that was funded by the actual origin country. The Moroccan King at the time was very interested in the World Showcase and sent his own architects and designers to provide an authentic Moroccan experience to all who visited.
Make sure to take it all in!
Through these doors you’ll find a mini museum of artwork.
#4 The authentic feel of the shops.
The shops you’ll find within the Morocco pavilion have many authentic items from glassware and incense burners to clothing for the belly dancer in you!
Make sure to have a conversation with one of the many cast members as they are all from the country of Morocco!
#5 Meeting Jasmine!
This was a fact that I was unaware of until recently.
Jasmine is kind of hidden. Once you’ve walked through the main archway, you will find Jasmine in the center section of the pavilion. You’ll walk through a door that looks like a shop and you can find her within.
Check the Disney website or app for meet and greet times.
So, there are 5 things you didn’t know about Morocco! Do you love the World Showcase? What is your favorite country?
Up next in this series will be the United Kingdom Pavilion!
